Over at Cardboard Jungle, there was a great post where he talked about how he wasn't collecting cards as much as he was collecting memories. I think there's an element of that in everyone who goes after vintage.

Great post.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3629531718057678439.post-12885717292030509662012-10-31T20:32:29.288-03:002012-10-31T20:32:29.288-03:00Dave, fabulous post, one of the best reads for me ...Dave, fabulous post, one of the best reads for me in a long time.

Thank you for sharing!Roberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12317401112145746593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3629531718057678439.post-805603624191600362012-10-31T16:59:11.673-03:002012-10-31T16:59:11.673-03:00A very nice read. It's nice to see another collector who has special memories relating to family attached to certain cards.

It's a shame you never got the originals back, however it's nice that you got replacement cards. The memories you have associated to the cards did not need to be replaced and that is what matters most.

Sorry to hear about the passing of your Step Dad. I could really feel the emotion in your post.

I hope one day that the original cards return to you.Baseballislife1984https://www.blogger.com/profile/00798584224684604100noreply@blogger.com
